About this artwork

As I was on one of my walks observing nature, I saw this honey bee flying off an exuberant prickly pear flower.

Part of the Biodiversity series, it brings awareness to the world we want to cherish and preserve.

I like to call it pastel painting, rather than drawing, and this work as well as other works in this series, is made with high quality pastels on Pastelmat pastel paper, giving it the crisp texture of fine sandpaper.

I have it unframed… at the moment, as it is a recent painting and will carefully pack it so you receive it in perfect conditions and can choose your favorite frame yourself.
