About this artwork
This painting is part of the "Imprints" series and the "Submarine" project dedicated to the theme of motherhood. Imprints are my first works as a mother. I used children's toys and feeding jars to create abstract graphics. The main message of these works is the constant desire to create, even when you don't have the strength or time to do so. The ability to find new, unexpected forms and techniques in art in order to accurately reflect one's state… of mind at a given moment.
I created this series of works 11 years ago and am only willing to sell one of the prints now. The rest of the works are part of the exhibition that I show at my exhibitions. I also have a continuation of this painting in a video art variation. You can see it by following the link to my YouTube. The painting very accurately reflects the theme of the female artist.
The work is done in watercolour, framed in a double white mat and a white wooden frame. Ready to hang.
This painting is part of a larger story.
Ana Saut, originally from Riga and now based in Valencia, Spain, channels her interdisciplinary background in art, industrial design, and psychology into mesmerizing mixed media installations, paintings, and collages. She masterfully weaves lyrical abstraction, employing oil, acrylic, watercolor, collage, and ready-made objects to create immersive, multisensory environments of color and form. Through her heightened sensitivity to color, she conjures emotionally charged atmospheres that awaken the viewer’s inner child—sparking curiosity, joy, and a profound sense of personal resonance and transformative immersion.
