About this artwork
White oil paint was applied so thickly that a structured, almost sculptural surface was created. The White
comes to life through light and shadow, forms a top layer, opened through fine gaps. Only here do the very strong colors of the lower layers shine through in some places. The result is an almost flickering impression, the bright green, blue and red tones push forward, the calm white top layer sinks into the background.
An abstract work that… evokes associations with a snow-covered winter landscape, memories and hope of the reawakening of nature, at the same time relaxing in the peace and quiet of winter.
This picture works especially well for colored walls.
The edges are painted. The picture is signed on the front. You can hang the work immediately. The picture was covered with a varnish to protect it from sunlight and dust.
