About this artwork
Driving force in my portraits is a constant interest
in connection between humans and their inner essence.
I refuse the material world, plunging my heroes into
the world of dreams and illusions.
Since my early works, I began acquainting the viewer
with the reverse side of the human soul, closed the eyes
of my characters, taking them to another reality.
In search of more simplified style, full of symbolism,
I deliberately abandon the holistic of faces… and retain
only a hint of human features.
I am not concerned about appearance but the essence
that person hides in himself.
