Anastasiya Markovych is a Ukrainian surrealist painter whose artistic journey began in 1990 at the Art School in Chernivtsi. She graduated with honors and later completed her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Her works have been showcased across Europe, including exhibitions in Kyiv, Lviv, Bucharest, London, and Częstochowa. In 2007, she was featured in the “World of Levkas” catalog under the patronage of the President of Ukraine. For over a decade, she refined her technique in the studio of renowned surrealist Tomasz Sętowski. Today, she paints and gathers inspiration in Częstochowa, Szczecin, Kołobrzeg, and Berlin. Her works are known for their symbolic depth, feminine archetypes, and emotional resonance. Markovych continues to explore new forms of expression through oil painting, combining myth, memory, and dream into one poetic language of the soul.
