About this artwork
The image (30x28 cm on 140 g paper) shows a group of identical umbrellas arranged side by side. Their repetition evokes conformity and everyday life. One single umbrella stands out. It breaks the pattern and thus becomes visible.
The monotype process, with its irregularities and blurring, reinforces the impression of movement and lived experience. The umbrellas act as symbols for people: seeking shelter, part of a crowd, and yet individual. The… title "Being Different" refers to the courage to break free from uniformity and express one's own uniqueness in everyday life.

I work as a painter, draftsman, and printmaker, drawing on a solid foundation of training and ongoing professional development, particularly in acrylics, ink, and printmaking techniques. My technique is characterized by the combination of classical and modern methods, as well as working in series, where I delve deeply into individual themes. The works invite the viewer to take their time and discover new facets time and again – they fascinate with their depth and complexity.
