In “Fuochi d'artificio”, Andrea Benetti proposes a composition with a strong visual and symbolic impact, in which the shape of the central flower explodes in a constellation of geometric elements and archetypal signs that recall the universe of cave painting, revisited in a contemporary key. The work, created with oil, cocoa and oxides on a bas-relief with a plaster background on canvas, reflects the stylistic code of Neorupestre, the artistic language…
developed by Benetti to unite the origins of art with a reflection on the present. The chromatic choice – warm, earthy and harmonious – and the material texture of the surface create a three-dimensional effect that engages the gaze and invites a layered reading of the meaning. The symbols, evocative and abstract, seem to hover in space like ancestral fireworks, celebrating the primordial force of the human imagination and its ability to generate visual language since the most remote times.

Andrea Benetti is the author of the Manifesto of Neo-Rock Art, presented at the 53rd Venice Biennale. His works have been acquired by international art collections and museums (United Nations, Vatican, Quirinale, Chamber of Deputies, etc.). Several universities have conducted graduate research on his art. He has collaborated with many universities to organize exhibitions and seminars on Neo-Rock Painting (Universities of Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Ferrara, Johns Hopkins University, Lecce, Messina, Roma Tre, and Venice). In 2020, he won the "Nettuno d'Oro" Award from the city of Bologna. His biography appears in major encyclopedias, including Treccani, De Agostini, and WikiArt, and is translated into 45 languages on Wikipedia.
