About this artwork
With "inMovimento I," Andrea Benetti offers a joyful and symbolic vision of travel, understood as a universal human experience. The plane, the ship, and the car stand out against the textured background like archetypes of movement, accompanied by stylized human figures that seem to dance around them, almost suggesting a harmony between humanity and the ever-changing world. Hearts, stars, flowers, and circles punctuate the pictorial surface, evoking… the spontaneous language of childhood and a shared emotional imagery. The bas-relief technique accentuates the separation between shapes and background, lending three-dimensionality and dynamism to the scene. The colors, rendered luminous by the combined use of oil and oxides, create a dialogue between the delicacy of pastels and the depth of more neutral tones. The work thus becomes an invitation to let the journey pass through us, to experience movement as a vital, poetic, and emotional experience, balanced between dream and reality.
« The painting of the future was born in caves, since art has always been the most fascinating medium with which matter depicts the spirit. »
