About this artwork
Astral Memory is part of the Origins Abstraction collection as a symbolic exploration of space and cosmic memory. The composition is structured through suspended geometric forms, traversed by fluid lines that suggest invisible connections and energetic trajectories. Circular and triangular elements, enriched by star and moon symbols, evoke an archaic language that unites the earthly dimension with a celestial vision. The bas-relief on a plaster background… accentuates the physical presence of the forms, while the use of oil, spices, and oxides generates a vibrant, layered surface rich in depth. The soft, earthy hues emerge like sedimented traces, suggesting a continuity between origin and infinity. The work thus conveys a vision in which abstraction becomes a tool of knowledge, capable of translating into visual form the primordial relationship between humanity, matter, and the cosmos.
« The painting of the future was born in caves, since art has always been the most fascinating medium with which matter depicts the spirit. »
