About this artwork
In my work, I have taken a journey into the heart of the abstract universe using acrylic and recycled objects, creating dynamics that reflect the strength and movement of the stars. This canvas is an explosion of vibrant colors, designed to evoke emotion and reflection, transforming any space with an intense energy that invites the observer to contemplate the beauty of ordered chaos.
A gravitational wave is a disturbance in space-time that propagates… as a wave. It is in effect a form of radiation, which deforms the distances between points in three-dimensional space as they contract and expand rhythmically.
Andrea Colusso is a multifaceted artist who blends painting, sculpture, drawing, and digital art into an evolving visual language. At the heart of his research is the relationship between humanity and the universe: a dialogue between interiority and cosmic consciousness that generates evocative and visionary images. His works, often immersed in dark backgrounds reminiscent of interstellar space, give shape to imaginary worlds through color, gesture, and texture. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, he combines the power of painting with theatrical evocation. His imagery is rooted in the turmoil of the 1970s and 1980s, encompassing utopia, social criticism, and spiritual exploration. His influences range from Picasso to Kandinsky, from science fiction comics to philosophy. His works are featured in public collections and museums, including the Pinacoteca di Cerreto Laziale and the Florean Museum in Baia Mare, Romania.
