This photo from the old German Hanseatic city of Danzig, now Gdansk in Poland, is one of my most successful and oldest motifs - it has been exhibited and printed many times and is also the record cover of a successful band. I took this photo analog in 1996 and processed it digitally in 2021. When creating the motif, I waited for a certain light in the evening. On one of the roofs of the old Gdansk houses there is a dragon figure - a seagull flew… in front of it: This is how the motif was created! The exciting motion blur of the seagull was created by a relatively long exposure time. Will it manage to escape the dragon?
This photograph is a real eye-catcher at home, in the office or in the company foyer!
Andreas Bromba, a photographer since the age of 16, uses both analogue techniques and digital processes in his work. He likes to spin his creations in series, sometimes using a minimalist aesthetic, other times with echoes of Yves Klein's striking blue. Andreas Bromba's photos are sharp, but with a certain tenderness, and explore the inscrutability of life, our everyday struggles and the connection between humanity.
