This large-format portrait of Adenauer was the beginning of a series of three (it began in Kleinich - Moselle region) that I started as a teaching demonstration as part of a seminar. My goal was to illustrate… to the participants how I approach such projects. I then had to do the final touches in the studio at home. Unfortunately, I did not take any photos of the process of creating the drawing during the course. Konrad Adenauer, born on January 5, 1876, was an outstanding German politician and the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. He significantly shaped the post-war period and the reconstruction of Germany after the Second World War.
