Paul Bäumer is the main character in Erich Maria Remarque's world-famous novel, Nothing New in the West, which is still unpopular in certain circles today. And Paul Bäumer is basically Remarque himself, who knows how… to tell the hell of the First World War, on the western front, through his fictitious protagonist Paul more than vividly and sustainably.
