Andrei Smaliak is an experienced Belarusian artist who spent a childhood drawing on the walls of his home and playing alongside the Slepianka river. Having also spent a challenging year in a Soviet prison and later working a range of jobs to support his son, all of Smaliak's life experiences have informed his work and confirmed his persistent, passionate artistic spirit. Today, his paintings offer thoughtful vision, vibrant colours and enigmatic windows into other worlds.
