About this artwork
After spending the morning painting by the beach warm winter day, my wife and I went to this cafe on the beach by Altea, to have a coffee. This was the view from our table and I just loved the way the afternoon sun made the dramatic shadows of the figures legs and how the light reflected on the water. I took a reference photo and used it to do this small pastel at home, trying to capture the essence of what if felt like being there.
