About this artwork
In creating this piece, I aimed to evoke a sense of vibrant energy and complex emotion through the interplay of colors and textures. The use of acrylic and oil paints allowed me to blend bright, bold hues with deep, soothing tones, while elements of gilding and plaster add a tactile richness that invites the viewer to not just see, but feel the artwork. The geometric forms intersect and overlap, suggesting both chaos and coherence, reminiscent of… the harmonies found in life’s varied experiences. This painting is a celebration of resilience and the colorful journey of the human spirit.
As titled the vibrant piece evolved from s common geometric exercise, to a piece dear to my heart and life. Mister Moseley was an entrepreneur who would secure boxes of candy from a wholesale outlet and deliver to our grade school teachers who In-turn, sold the candy to students before afternoon recess…..For a USD Nickel ($.05). The story is much more involved but for another forum.
« I am a self-taught oil painter who seeks to capture your eye as a portal to that part of the brain which can lead to interest, likes, wants... »
Exciting US painter Andy Hollimon has never taken an art class in his life. It was after military service and a business career, that Hollimon discovered his natural gift for painting. Working mainly with oil paints, Hollimon is a realist painter, but admits to approaching realism with 'on canvas twists'. Such twists include surprising color schemes, moments of abstraction, and perspective shifts. Hollimon's paintings are luminous, mysterious, and joyful. Full of revelations, they invoke delight and invite contemplation.
