The piece joins my Patterned Abstraction series as an exercise in the wide range and shades of the color Blue.
From its roots in ancient Egypt, the color blue has imparted feelings and thoughts of calmness, tranquility and peace.
Our vision is a portal to all sensory perception, and art lives when it is seen.
The Beguiling Blue offers a relaxing visual adventure in color in geometric abstraction viewed the viewer as well as the watchful figure… in the very human state of inquisitive scrutiny.

Exciting US painter Andy Hollimon has never taken an art class in his life. It was after military service and a business career, that Hollimon discovered his natural gift for painting. Working mainly with oil paints, Hollimon is a realist painter, but admits to approaching realism with 'on canvas twists'. Such twists include surprising color schemes, moments of abstraction, and perspective shifts. Hollimon's paintings are luminous, mysterious, and joyful. Full of revelations, they invoke delight and invite contemplation.
