In Intense, I explored the emotional tension between stillness and movement through layered marks, fragmented patterns, and the quiet presence of the solitary figure. I am fascinated by the way emotions can exist beneath the surface — sometimes calm and reflective, while at other moments vibrant and overwhelming.
Using mixed media, transparent layers, and expressive color relationships, I allowed the painting to develop intuitively, balancing softness… with bold contrasts and energetic marks. For me, this work speaks to the complexity of inner experience and the moments when emotion feels both deeply personal and impossible to ignore.
