Moonlight Surrender - was born from a simple technical question I asked myself while exploring black paper.
How do you draw water in darkness?
As I worked, the answer slowly shifted. The reflections became quieter. The moon appeared. A butterfly settled on the water. The drawing gradually stopped being about technique and become an invitation into silence.
Create with Pitt White Charcoal and dry pastel on black paper, this work explores the fragile… place where vulnerability, intimacy and light become one. The bodies do not seek attention; the dissolve into the night, allowing light to reveal only what truly matters.
Rather than telling a story, "Moonlight Surrender" invites the viewer to pause. It is a suspended moment where darkness is no longer the absence of light, but the place where light reveals itself most gently.
