It seems calm and self-assured as nature so often appears to be in our radiant spring season. Long brushstrokes with crisp edges mark the flower’s many petals, a tightly closed bud slowly opening…

Ann Bubis, a painter and sculptor from the United Kingdom, has exhibited in Germany, Czechia, the United States and the U.K. As an intuitive artist, her abstract and realistic pieces are a response to global issues concerning the environment and ‘throw-away society’, as well as ancestral history, to name a few. Bubis works comprise varying styles and media, with her current focus on framed mosaics and sculptures which she calls ‘juxtapositions’.
