About this artwork
A friend asked me some time ago if I could recreate pours. It sounded exciting to me and a new challenge. I knew I wouldn't be able to create my own pours exactly the same, as there are simply too many different factors to consider. Nevertheless, I wanted to see how close I could get to the original "Space Date" using the same technique and the same colors – and so "Orion Nebula" was born, another star in the same Milky Way as "Melting Galaxy" and… "The Void."
Anna Frieda Kuzaj, aka ateliercollide, uses a variety of media, including painting, photography, drawing, and digital art, influenced by her artistic career, which has extended all the way to Hamburg. She experiments with acrylic pouring, realistic sketches, and impulsive expressionism, with her works oscillating between abstract, colorful experiments and realistic detail work. Through intuitive processes and meditative work, she aims to convey the courage to embrace mistakes, creativity, and self-discovery—her art is vibrant and inspires playful self-acceptance.
