About this artwork
This series of paintings shows different moments and movements in the dance. I dance when I'm happy, I dance when I'm sad. Dancing helps me regain my inner strength. As if, through dance, I'm connecting to the cosmic energy. There are dances with graceful and slow movements, there are dances like a wave of a storm, which catches you, it swirls you and throws you into the sea of movements and emotions.

Anna Ravliuc is rising UK painter with international exposure. Ravliuc works exclusively with oil paints which she feels have a unique ability to simulate volumetric texture through brushstrokes and glazing, thus increasing their optical properties. Her artwork strives to reveal how society spreads beyond its own subjective horizons and often reveals a story about the outcomes of global cultural interaction on individuals.
