About this artwork
The watercolor "Blackthorn and Snow" was created in February 2026. It was exceptionally cold. During a walk, I was surprised by the snow. It fell slowly onto the dark blue blackthorn berries. It was still and beautiful. The birds perched on the bushes; everything was white. I was thrilled by this winter, the likes of which we hadn't experienced in a long time. I had almost forgotten that this season could be so beautiful.
