About this artwork
I painted the picture "Dancing Water" in my studio in Körbecke-Borgentreich. It is an almost abstract painting. It was created in the spring and summer of 2020 and is part of a mini series consisting of two paintings. It was inspired by an observation of the river Diemel.
The painting "Dancing Water" was meant to reflect my concern about the pandemic and the situation in the world, but it became a hymn to nature, to water, which is beautiful and… without which we cannot live.
The eye of God or the eye of nature is reflected here in the waves of a flowing river and watches over the world.
