About this artwork
This painting is part of the "Plants'body" series of the "Human-Non-humans" project, and refers to philosophical questions such as corporeality, dualisms, our coexistence with non-human entities and their agency. It is part of the contemporary discourse on affectivity and a phenomenological approach to the world, revealing the connection between art and philosophy.
This lithograph contains my own hair, highlighting the intertwining between human… and non-human, and symbolizing the inscription of human history in the eternal cycle of nature. The red color, which seems to "escape" from the leaf where the hair is incorporated, highlights the sometimes conflicting intertwining between human action and nature, inviting reflection on the impact of humans on the living world, and also addressing questions of hybridity and the environment.

Anna Sieradzka, visual artist, born in 1976 in Poland, lives and works in France. Graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, doctor in Intermedia (Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow) and in philosophy (University of Warsaw – thesis on the theory of the contemporary image).
Her practice, informed by philosophical reflection, explores the relationship between matter, time, and process, questioning the boundaries between the human and the non-human. Materiality and corporeality are central to her work, conceived as essential components of existence. She combines various mediums—drawing, painting, video, photography, installation—and organic materials (hair, milk) that allow her to question definitions and reveal forms in perpetual evolution. Surfaces, cracks, spirals, folds—these are all structures that fascinate her, both in the human body and in the natural world.
