About this artwork
In this work, I have fused Indian ink, sand and cement with pigments to create a canvas that evokes the origins of humanity and the purity of primitive artistic expression. Inspired by minimalism, Aboriginal art, abstraction and primitivism, I sought to capture the essence of ancestral visual communication. This piece will bring raw, authentic energy to any space, inviting reflection on our connection to the past.
Anne Iris
France
A multi-disciplinary artist, Anne is curious by nature. She explores various artistic techniques ranging from working with rakes, ink, window scrapers, paint dripping and mounting relief paintings in the form of sculptures, to plaster and cement.
She works on canvas or paper, combining Posca with acrylic paint, which she applies in transparent washes, allowing the lines of the felt pen to show through.
She has exhibited at the Salon d'Automne at the Grand Palais in Paris, in various contemporary art fairs but also in Spain, in the Netherlands and at the Tsukuba Museum of Art in Tokyo.
