About this artwork
Anne's artwork hovers between the traditional trifecta of still life, landscape and portraiture. Therefore, still life has always been an integral part of her arts practice. As with her landscape paintings, Anne is very interested in capturing light. With this still life painting of a sunflower, Anne has been heavily influenced by the artist, Vincent Van Gogh. With the creation of this painting, Anne was interested in overlaying different textures…
