About this artwork
In my work, inspired by the encounter between nature and artifice, I wanted to explore the dynamic contrast between light and shadow, using only black and white. The texture of the sandy shoreline is reflected brilliantly in the water, while the small artefact emerges mysteriously, a symbol of human intervention in an otherwise wild and natural scene.
The photo is printed on glossy photographic paper, measures 50x70 cm and is framed with a 100x70… cm black wooden frame. The frame is handmade, 3cm wide with a thickness of approximately 1cm and the photo is set in a white passe-partout.
