About this artwork
In some parts of the world, humans have built houses up to the sky. Suddenly the clouds are palpable, wandering between house fronts.
This drawing is a game with the line, the area and the space. The cloud of lines, with its lively, intertwined twists and colors, contrasts with the rigid, dark surfaces. The perspective seems to be believable at first, but the artist deliberately plays with irritations.
For optimal framing, the frame should have… the size of the sheet and the motif should be placed in a mat, the cutout of which is approx. 1 - 2 cm larger than the motif.

« I experience the greatest surprises during my artistic work! »
Annette Mewes-Thoms, a German painter and draftsman, has exhibited her works nationally, as well as in France, Portugal, Switzerland, the United States, Singapore, Italy and Spain. Through her previous explorations in representing the essence of water without depicting it, her artistic journey has led her away from painting towards drawing. Mewes-Thoms' current artworks focus on the line, which she layers and condenses.
