The STUDY series is so called as these are nominally conceived as study's for larger paintings. Fine art in their own right, they are a fascinating glimpse into the creative process to the artistic vision. Oil on card, they are study's in colour, form and style, often combining a variety of techniques; dry brush marks, palette knife, impasto, and wet in wet blending, amongst others. Anthony Carey is an experienced British painter with national exposure.
