About this artwork
In my artwork, I capture the powerful relationship between humans and technology. A butterfly seemingly flying out of the gate of a massive, dark submarine symbolizes the unexpected and often overlooked beauty and fragility in human creation.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Anton Gartung, with a background in analog photography, uses black and white film and a 40mm lens. He develops a minimalist aesthetic by creatively addressing the given limitations and emphasizing flash for harsh contrasts and details. Evoking the loneliness in crowds, chaos alongside perfection, and light dancing with shadows, his work speaks emotionally in a lyrical, sometimes melancholic, sometimes humorous language.
