About this artwork
Each of my pieces is unique, born from passion and the desire to transform the everyday into a universe of joy. In this work, a complete piano keyboard—rescued from oblivion—becomes the stage where tiny figures inhabit, bringing my creative world to life.
In this work, thermometers cease to measure temperature and become vibrant stages. Tiny figures stroll, converse, and rest upon them, as if the heat were merely an excuse to meet and savor the… moment.
With vibrant colors and a pop sensibility, the piece transforms everyday objects into miniature worlds where anything is possible. Here, fever is not illness, but creative energy: an invitation to view the ordinary with humor, imagination, and a touch of fun.
António Azevedo uses model dolls inside small square frames, merging his training in fashion design with his experience in window dressing and merchandising. He employs a meticulous and detailed technique, recreating everyday scenes in miniature from common objects, imbuing each piece with a unique theatrical atmosphere. His works invite the viewer to imagine their own stories, conveying nostalgia, wonder, and a deep connection with everyday life.
