About this artwork
In creating this work, I sought to capture the vibrant interplay between light and darkness, using oil to explore the emotional depths of the night. The impressionist style allowed me to play with the bright colors of the boats, which are magically reflected in the water, contrasting with the deep blue and mysterious sky. This canvas is not just a landscape, but a continuous dialogue between serenity and movement, designed to bring energy and contemplation…

Antonio Di Viccaro (born in 1935), who studied in Lazio and Tuscany, prefers oil painting on canvas. The artist uses a palette knife technique to vividly spread oil, depicting the nature and beauty of Italy without the use of brushes. His works, imbued with a love for the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts, exude vitality and enthusiasm.
