About this artwork
In my work, I have tried to capture the vibrant essence and warmth of a picturesque Italian coastal village. Using oil on canvas, I have adopted the impressionist style to bring to life the colorful facades of the houses, wrapped in lush flowers and overlooking the tranquil blue waters. This canvas conveys a sense of peace and joy of living, thus bringing a breath of life and color to any home environment.
Antonio Di Viccaro (born in 1935), who studied in Lazio and Tuscany, prefers oil painting on canvas. The artist uses a palette knife technique to vividly spread oil, depicting the nature and beauty of Italy without the use of brushes. His works, imbued with a love for the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts, exude vitality and enthusiasm.
