About this artwork
My aim was to explore the concept of natural abstraction. I wanted to demonstrate that a common subject can transform into something alien and wondrous when properly isolated. Looking at this photo, you don't just see a bird, but a series of intertwining curved lines, a color gradation ranging from burnt orange to pale pink, almost like a romantic painting. I shot to capture that sense of imperturbable peace that only nature can convey.

Antonio Milesi is a contemporary pictorialist photographer strongly inspired by Romantic painting. He investigates the mystery that surrounds every form and the intrinsic beauty of nature, from the smallest detail to the grandeur of the landscape.
His educational path is atypical: after completing a scientific course that led him to a degree in Economics, he cultivated a deep interest in the mystery of the human soul, meditation, and Eastern cultures: influences that are reflected in his artistic sensibility and his mysterious perception of the world.
He developed his solid photographic technique by working professionally as a portrait and still life photographer in the studio. This experience gave him the skills needed to translate his vision into nuanced images, where light, shadow, and composition merge for the viewer to reflect more deeply. Revealing what vibrates beyond appearances.
