THE BOX
(or: the end of a friendship)

Once upon a time, there was a large oil painting in which I painted my friend Anna sitting on a sofa in a red skirt. After a while, she stood behind a fence, and shortly afterward, everything fell apart.
I glued these pieces of canvas onto six wooden boards, and on each board I painted a cube.
– THE BOX – I think Anna is living in these cubes now,… but I'm not sure. I haven't seen her since, only sometimes a red mark.
