In this work, I explore the dialogue between the celestial and the earthly, contrasting the dynamic flight of the eagle with the clumsiness of its inferior reflection, the duck. I use collage and enamel to intensify texture and depth, evoking a mystical and symbolic sense. The mental form of this "Dweller on the Threshold," which humanity has built over millions of years, is on the eve of being destroyed. It is interesting to note that the work of… the Devil, the imprisoner of souls, is beginning to lose its power, because the race is on the verge of understanding that true death is immersion in form, and that matter is only part of the divine whole. But the work of the Antichrist is only now reaching its culmination, and the illusion of riches, possessions, and false teachings will increasingly dominate, but the period of deception will be shorter than that of destruction.

Arturo Prins is an exciting Spanish artist whose style comes from a sensibility of play, discipline, freedom and rebellion, redoubled in a constant reinvention of himself. Thematically, Prins looks to delve into metaphysics, symbolism, esoteric cosmogony, while mixing in humor to soften the transcendent themes in his work. He also describes his work as being "nostalgic for the future, sometimes with a nod to the eclectic spiritualism between East and West."
