About this artwork
Stanza XIII (Stanzas from the Book of Dzyan)
The dark purple globe passes through the violet band that encircles the firmament. It passes and does not return. It is bewitched by the color blue. Three times the blue encircles it, and when the circle is complete, the purple disappears and merges with the pink, and it once again traverses the path. There are three great colors of the cycle that are considered the fourth: violet, blue, and pink, with… the fundamental purple in rotation.
There are four secondary colors in the discrimination cycle, where rotation takes place. It circles up to its midpoint, and slightly beyond. The band that emerges is yellow, and the cloud it hides is orange.
Many are the circulating fires, and many are the rotating rounds, but only when the complementary colors recognize their source and the whole conforms to the seven will the culmination be seen. Then will each color be correctly adapted and the cessation of rotation be observed.

Arturo Prins is an exciting Spanish artist whose style comes from a sensibility of play, discipline, freedom and rebellion, redoubled in a constant reinvention of himself. Thematically, Prins looks to delve into metaphysics, symbolism, esoteric cosmogony, while mixing in humor to soften the transcendent themes in his work. He also describes his work as being "nostalgic for the future, sometimes with a nod to the eclectic spiritualism between East and West."
