Arun Prem is an established US artist with international exposure. His multi-media works combine charcoal, oil pastels and oil tubes to create texture and interest. Prem begins most paintings with brush drawings based on his own photos or creates a reference collage from print and electronic media. His work explores parallels he finds in the contemporary societal shifts happening at a global level. These include the relationship between technology and social isolation and the refugee crisis.
