August Langhout (1961, Netherlands) is a self taught digital artist and photographer whose work revolves around capturing fading memories and unseen emotions in nature. With a background in logistics where structure and problem solving are key he finds in art a free intuitive counterpoint.
His work emerges without a fixed plan but grows organically from experiments with color texture and light inspired by the dreamy landscapes of the Wadden Sea and his surroundings. Augusts style is defined by abstract compositions with subtle gold accents that reference the transience of time and beauty in the fleeting.
