About this artwork
Passage 2 explores the encounter between nature, built space, and movement. The work represents a tree in a deliberately abstract way: its branches and fruit unfold in the upper section, while the gilded pot anchors it within a defined space. Around it, the accumulation of geometric shapes, materials, and patterns evokes a dense environment. In contrast to this ordered structure, the tree develops in a freer, more organic way. The fabrics, reliefs,… and different textures give this growth a physical presence, as if the living being were gradually seeking to transcend the limits imposed upon it. The tree then becomes a metaphor for this journey: being anchored somewhere while simultaneously striving to expand beyond its own boundaries.
