About this artwork

In Pensieri Piatti, I explore a state in which thoughts accumulate on the same surface without hierarchy or resolution. Gestural marks, drawn lines, and stitched wool coexist within a flattened space, resisting depth and narrative progression.

The materials remain visible and restrained, allowing the surface to hold tension rather than release it. Framed in oak, the work reflects a condition of sustained thinking—present, contained, and unresolved.…

This work can be presented individually or combined with "Piattezza Emotiva" painting as a diptych. Together, the two pieces form a dialogue between cognitive compression and emotional flattening, addressing parallel mental states through distinct yet complementary material languages.
