About this artwork
In creating this work, I explored the tension between the visible and the invisible, using symbolism to challenge habitual perceptions. The isolated tree, executed with acrylic, oil pastel and tempera techniques, represents "a window, an escape route" from an increasingly violent, ruthless, traumatic reality from which we only want to escape, because acting as a group of individuals is now prevented, so all that remains is to save ourselves and those… we love.
« Painting is my refuge; it's where I can express everything when words are not enough. »
