About this artwork
The work presents itself with a minimalist and abstract composition, dominated by fields of color that overlap with balance and tension. The contrast between the vast green-gray space and the white rectangle, within which a few black trees stand out, evokes a sense of absence and loss.
The trees, reduced to simple silhouettes, seem confined to a corner of the canvas, almost suffocated by the rigid geometry and the expansion of the void around them.… Their scattered arrangement, combined with the predominance of lifeless surfaces, suggests a reflection on the impact of man on nature: the progressive reduction of green spaces and the domination of the artificial over the natural.
The painting thus becomes a metaphor for environmental destruction, where the void is not only a pictorial space, but a tangible absence, a silent warning about the fragility of nature in the face of human expansion.
