This lack, this emptiness, emerges from me today and spreads everywhere to become the hallucinatory reality of all. "
In this series of visions by Barbara Ruzziconi, a centrifugal force pushes the characters away, pushing them back to the limits of consciousness. The living cling to the edges of the world, they slip on the convex surface… of hopes, they try to come back close, but they fall down, far away.
In that desolate space, the animals that jump are portents of the apocalypse. But they also represent the only vital movement, because it is to them, to their ferocious innocence that this land will return without sound and without promises.
