About this artwork
A dive makes the variations in green and turquoise tones shine. I created the painting in countless layers and also incorporated some shell segments from the Rhine beach. The edges reflect the artistic creation process.
In my work I combine impressionism with semi-abstract art to express deep emotions and earthiness. The materials used - acrylic, gold and natural pigments - reflect my fascination with the organic presence and timeless beauty of… nature. Barbara Schauß is an established German painter whose works have been exhibited in regional and national exhibitions. Her love for art began as a child when she discovered her father's books of world famous paintings. Inspired by the Impressionist movement, Schauß was greatly moved to paint after seeing Monet's "Fields in Spring" and famous lily pads. She also experiments in abstract painting, working in both oils and acrylics. Schauß is compelled by colors and aims to represent an overall atmosphere, whether harmonious or discordant, through her work.
