EISWEIN- a rarity: The work shows the wine of the region in which the artist lives (Rhineland-Palatinate), as it can only very rarely be harvested at certain low temperatures. The painting was created in many layers, whereby the artist worked in earth and pigments. An archaic, haptic effect was created. Barbara Schauß is an established German painter whose works have been exhibited in regional and national exhibitions. Her love for art began as a child when she discovered her father's books of world famous paintings. Inspired by the Impressionist movement, Schauß was greatly moved to paint after seeing Monet's "Fields in Spring" and famous lily pads. She also experiments in abstract painting, working in both oils and acrylics. Schauß is compelled by colors and aims to represent an overall atmosphere, whether harmonious or discordant, through her work.
