About this artwork
I love walking along alleys in autumn. There are often inspiringly beautiful views when the light falls just perfectly through the leaves. This is a portrait of such an alley in autumn. The trees seem to glow in orange-red splendour with the sunlight coming through brightly in some patches. I used relatively loose brushwork and semi-abstracted forms.
