This bronze resin animal sculpture is contained within a sweeping, sinuous outline, the narrow middle strip contrasting with the expansive swelling of bottom and chest.
The horse is based on archaic (Greek and Celtic) or even prehistoric animal drawings and sculptures. I focus on sensuously rounded areas juxtaposed with flatter and squarer, even lightly concave surfaces ( the mane and head) .
In its expression, the horse is resting, strong,… upstanding and peaceful with its sideway gaze.
