About this artwork
This bronze resin animal sculpture is a simplified and abstracted form, loosely based on archaic miniature sculptures from the Celtic or early Greek epoch, sometimes found on belt buckles.
The many diagonal lines of legs, tail and neck synchronize to create this dynamic animal sculpture, indicating perpetual motion. The only horizontal line is its small head, purposefully looking frontwards, and striving further on its journey.
The real inspiration… to this sculpture was my son, 3 years old at the time, who appeared to me as never- resting, always on the move and exploring.
This bronze resin sculpture can be commissioned to be cast in bronze, at approximately 3 times the price with a 6 weeks waiting time; ask for an exact quotation.

« Beauty to me is simplicity, clarity, concentration and must extend beyond decorative prettiness. Beauty holds contradictions, tensions, and ambivalence, it is a balance kept despite conflict. »
